The Problem
With each new "must have" media device that was introduced in the 1990's, consumers' homes -- and lives -- started becoming more cluttered. Consider that in 1967, the average apartment had 1.3 personal electronic items. Today? 25.
The gift of interactivity turned has turned into a burden. Consumers realize the fun and usefullness of a broad array of media devices and formats, but are unable to access and interact with this media at an appropriate convenience. This is why there is so much hype about the iPhone. It represents a so-called "Triple Play" -- a true convergence of telecommunications, entertainment, and the PC -- that will free consumers from the clutter and inaccessibility of their many electronic devices.
